We’re excited to announce the exclusive US premiere of Billie Van’s music video for her new single, “Bitter”. This is the second part in a series of collaborations between the Norwegian pop musician and video director Emilie Norenberg. The joyfully retro visuals continue here—enhanced by the use of 16mm film—exploring a dancing biker gang and a revenge fantasy centered around the time and emotional energy that Billie’s character wasted on her ex. Norenberg’s eye for striking visual set pieces is apparent in the introduction of the bikers and ensuing fight, all while telling a complete story of this woman’s emotional catharsis through confrontation, injected with a quirky sense of humor. Watching this woman feel good about herself again, after years of isolating emotional distance between herself and those around her, is a wonderful message of empowerment. We can’t wait to see what comes next in this unique, collaborative series.
